I was thinking about switching from Big Foot to Hardcore goose decoys. Does anyone use Hardcore? I wanted to know how durable they are? Thanks for any suggestions.

I use some Hardcores in my spread. They are ok. For the money I would invest in the GHG's. I run about 10 dozen GHG's and about 2 doz HC's. the GHG's are better looking and easier to set up. GHG's motion system is better. The HC's don't move real well unless you make the bungee cord real loose, then the metal bases fall off when you pick 'em up. Pain in the @$$. Just my input. See what everyone else writes and check out the web sites of the manufacturers.

I would say GHG because they look the best by far but Hardcores are a good decoy but you can't get the duability that you do with a BigFoot.

I dont have any experience with Hardcores, but I do know some people that use them. They haul them in an enclosed trailer and have to INDIVIDUALLY BAG THEM!! What a pain in the butt!!! My uncle, my dad, and alot of people I know have ran BF's forever. Boy do they hold up. My uncle and dad both have extended cab F-150's with toppers and stack about 4 dozen in the beds. Years of use and hardly any wear on them at all, but my dad does need to paint his.

I myself have a half dozen GHG Pro-Grade Lookers and 4-FA active full bodies and am going to get 12 or 16 of the new BF probably feeders. This will put myself at 2 dozen full bodies along with 2 dozen shells and 2 dozen silouettes.

Go with the the Bf's or look into the GHG. The GHG won't hold up like the BF's but their motion systems are awesome!! Sorry about the novel. haha

Same thing as almost everyone else said. GHG absolutely look the best but you have to be willing take care of them. If you get the bags and socks for them they will hold up fine, but if you just stack them they get pretty beat up. I hunt with a guy every once in a while and he has a few bfs and the paint has held up over the years, but again they don't have the looks like GHG. The GHG progrades are deadly on ice. Set up 8 motion GHG geese and 12 motion GHG mallards around a small hole in the ice and a group of five of us were done in an hour. Every thing that came by actually landed on the ice in between geese and mallards. It wasn't even fair.[/u]

Rush, how do you like the full body mallards? They look awesome and I am thinking of getting 6 or 12 of them. But Mack's Prairie Wings has them in shell decoys. A dozen with motion stakes goes for $119.99. Have you had any experience with these or not? It says that they are the actual mold from the full body mallards, just cut into shells. They come 8 drakes/4 hens, half feeders and half uprights. Also, Macks pw has a 'harvester' pack available with 4 feeders, 4 uprights, and 4 of the new resters with a 12 slot bag for I think $219.99. Whata you boys think?

My buddy just bought ghg full body mallard harvester pack from MPW on Sunday. It's a pretty good deal for the prices now. Last year I got a dozen fully body mallards from MPW for $160 and each six came with a 6 slot decoy bag, greenhead gear skull cap, and quackhead single reed duck call for free. The prices on their decoys went up drastically this year. I'm thinkin about buy a dozen of the full body black ducks or pintails. The black ducks would work good here in Ohio but the pintails will work good on our trips out west. Best bet might be to wait until next year and see what FA comes out with. Jeff is a waterfowl killer and I'm sure the products from FA next year will their best yet. I've sworn on the GHG from the first weekend over them, but I might make the switch next year if FA comes out with a better line.
