My good buddy, Christian Dekker (iawaterfowler88) and the Urbandale High School boys baseball team are headed to the state tournament next week! They won their sub-state game Wednesday night and are playing next week with 7 other Iowa high school teams for the state title. Christian helped them out by crankin' a 3-run homer and pitching the final 2 innings of the game, striking out all 3 batters in the 6th to end the game!! What a time to play awesome, in his could have been final game as a UHS player!! Congrats and good luck buddy!! I'll try my best to be there Wednesday for the first round game.

P.S. Killing ducks and geese is way funner! :lol:

haha thanks big guy...I pitched the 6th and 7th but it was the 7th that the 3 ks came in...all on video. I dunno my heart was going NUTS with that last batter, and the crowd standing, just as much as a flock setting into the decoys. As for the first round, we play Valley the 3 time state champs, Wednesday the 26th at 8pm. We should have beat them earlier this year, and we can as long as everyone is on top of their game like we have been lately.

hmmm i dunno when the last time we played South Tama. We are 4A (the smallest of em' but we are one) and i believe they are 1A or 2A...you might be thinking of Urbana

Oh DekkerFace, where to start, you are playin' Valley, even though I graduated from Valley I kinda want you guys to take them down a peg or two. Its time for Valley to fall and pass some of their winnings on to another school. Not to be anti-school sprited or anything.

South Tama used to be a 4A school. My brother played ball and graduated in 86', I can remember them playing Urbandale, Ankeny, etc. I moved from there in 90 so not sure what class they are in now. I know South Tama has (or had) some really good wrestlers.

Really? Urbandale use to be a 3A possibly even 2A, and so was Ankeny, but now ankeny is massive, we are still one, if not the smallest 4A school. But, we compete with the big schools so there isnt any reason to drop down to 3A

I'll pitch at some point in the game, dunno if i will start on the mount or in right but i'll be in one of the 2 while hittin 4th im guessin...if i start in right i will be the first outta the bullpen im guessin, or i will come in to close the game out like i have been the last few games

oooooo man. what a slughtwer fest the game was last night. Valley whooped Urbandales asses 16-1. iawaterfowler88 had the only RBI for urbandale way to go dekker. but Valley is like a team of machines. i would like to see them against the Orgon State Beavers. i bet you Valley would beat them to.

Take it easy al, if u noticed our guys didnt take it to well....we know it was an ass kicking, but jus leave it at that if you would please bud....im not meaning to sound like an ass here jus its a sensitive subject with that being the end of our season and all :( and yeah they are machines....they will prolly get the title again this year as long as mason city doesnt get them in semis....which they beat em twice earlier this year...but valley nor mason city have their top pitchers ready....
