Do you fella's think it's worth buying the showtime if I already have a SMH with the canadian classic insert in it? I mean will it have a noticeable amount of difference? thanks in advance. lata

I have blown a smh for about 6 years, and have loved it , but i like the showtime even better, it is a different call even tho they have the same insert , I can't say for you , but i like it better, i had to tune it to fit me , but once you get it where you want, i think you would be very satisfied just my opinion....

There is a difference between the calls.....for me the volume and clarity of this call is great (not taking anything away from the SMH). I've got it tuned to let the low end of the call shine......the response is better because of the shorter barrell, and that is my favorite aspect of the call.
Ultimately, it is up to you.... my advice would be to try it out. And if you don't think that call would be for you, try a MH or HPH to give you a bit more versatility and another trick in the bag.......let us know what you decide and if we can be of any more help.....thanks.

I agree with Gary and Nick.........
the SMH is no doubt a GREAT call...I have alot of them and LOVE them all...but....the Showtime is a whole different animal...one of my favorite calls was also a Canadian Classic but I couldn't believe the difference till I got my Showtime.....
the first thing you will notice when you pick it up is that it is very light...the reason for that is that it is REALLY bored out.....that's where the volume comes from....and to continue what Gary was saying about tuning....I've noticed some guys really have to play around with the tuning to get it where they "like" it...............but when they do...LOOK OUT! its a GREAT call....top to bottom...nothin' but goose!
check one out...you won't be dissapointed......hope this helps...

The showtimes are amazing calls I found out when I helped work the booth at the Stillwater calling contest last week. The call is so comfortable in your hands, and the clarity is unreal. I'm sure once I get one and wear the guts in that will help the call to sound unbelieveable...

I just got my showtime and it's great I have alredy used on geese and I plan on useing it in upcomeing competions aswell . It dose take a while before the guts wear in but after that the showtime preforms just as well as the smh. Thats just my opinoin

I know the SHOWTIME takes more air than the smh, but can it be tuned to not take as much back pressure with out comprimising the sound?

Mine is actually tuned lighter and takes less air and uses about the same back pressure, It's all in how you tune it....

I blew a Showtime at Sportsman's a few weeks ago. It took a ton of air, I couldn't even really blow it. But I was just getting over strep throat, so my throat was probably not liking all that air I was trying to bring up at once. I'm gonna try it again tomorrow at Waterfowl Weekend.

I hope you told them, so they could clean the call for the next guy! :? I'd sure hate to be the guy behind you testing that call.

Its ok, I had been on anti-biotics for about 3 days which means I wasnt contagious anymore. So its all good. I blew a Zink Moneymaker today at the Sportsmans warehouse in Ankeny at Waterfowl Weekend and could blow it pretty well and it was louder than hell. It did take more air than my SMH, but not too much and it was way louder.

WW III is a long way off but it will be the SHOWTIME I will use for my first GOOSE CONTEST. I am in love with this call and with 2.0 GOOSE I will be good to go. :D
