im am counting down the days. its so close but so far away. i told jason muntz and brian mcmurtrie that we should get togeth for early season and slaughter some birds. so if any of the prostaffers want to get together let me know cause ill drive wherever to kill some birds and i have a few hot spots my self if anyone wants to come and hunt with me. the more spots we get together the more birds we can kill. i got a band spot to where we shoot nothing but bands. we got 16 bands off of 14 geese last year in 2 weeks and 2 of the bands were $100 rewards. i have pics for proof. if anyone is intrested let me know.

in a way it is because its a good way for the prostaffers to keep in touch since the only time we ever see each other is at shows or the shop. i mean ill trade hunts with anyone but for the most part its just a way for the prostaffers to get together to have a good time.

Hell yeah I am ready!! I've been ready since spring snow goose season ended, well at least since turkey season. I need to start scouting. One of my buddies that hasn't hunted waterfowl much says he has a hay field with lots of birds around lined up, so maybe me and the "IOWA KILLIN' CREW" will bring the layout blinds, decoys, and goose calling skills in trade for hunting his spot with him.

I'll tell you one thing...I'm about as pumped for the start of dove season on the 1st. We just had a 3 acre lake put in up at my farm and between the bare dirt, water, seed, and trees, you can't hardly beat the doves out of there. There is also some sunflower fields and cut wheat fields around so they are just pathetic this year. Midwest has been up there so he knows the deal as well. It's the weekend before my wedding so I will be treating my wedding party to dove/goose hunting that weekend and a few cold ones at night :)

Good luck guys, we are definately going to have to get out a shoot some doves too, they allways seem to knock the rus off the shooting skills.

I believe we are going to bust some doves on the 1st also. Lots of them right now! Definitely more dove action than goose action around here right now.
