The SMH is Foile's "Flag Ship" call. It has a wide vocal range. I suggest buying a SMH before you buy a Market Hunter. The Market hunter has the same green guts as the SMH, however it is higher pitched than the SMH. I suggest the SMH because once you master the SMH the calling style transfers over to all of his short reed canadian goose calls(HPH, Cackler, Market Hunter, Meat Grinder). All of foiles calls are fast blowing and sound great. Another suggestion is when you buy your SMH or Market Hunter purchase the Calling Geese 2.0 DVD to help you learn the proper way to blow his goose calls.
The best judge on purchasing a Premium Call is you. If it sounds good to you and is easy for you to use then that is the call for you. It has to fit you. Pick up both calls and blow them, then make your decision.

I just got the meatdrinder and have fallen for it, it's not the SMH but it still sounds nice. I do need to get the 2.0 DVD. I'm not that good but the Meatgrinder is a nice call.
