Strait Street?

Just wanted to ask some advise concerning the Strait Street call. I'm blowing in the Indiana State duck contest, and am currently blowing a SMM single reed, but was considering getting a SS single reed. Is there that much difference between the 2, and what would be the difference. Thanks in advance.

I think it rings louder and clearer and is just an overall better comp call. The SMM won a lot of contests and still can...but the SS outpreforms it in my mind.

Thanks Muntz, that's what I thought, but just wasn't sure. I think I'll probably go ahead and get it. I tell you though, I absolutely love my DMM, If I could get it to ring well, I'd be half tempted to use it :D . Has anyone out there blown one in a single reed? Can it ring?

It's not a ringin' call...Jeff used one in the IWA two-man where he and SEAN got 3rd place. Tuned it about 5 min. before the contest after he picked it off the rack. Great call.
