I have a Meatgrinder right now and was wondering what the differnce, if any, would be if I put some green guts in it instead of the gray that it currently has. What is the difference between the two?

I dont know for sure but I dont think the green guts will fit the meat grinder. The reason I say this is because if they do fit I think it would be easier for the them to keep the same gut system for all their calls. I dont know if there is a difference in the way they make them but the both look to be injection molded. I do know however that in a SMH when you get the guts "worn in" it makes the call sound extreamly goosey.

I use both sets of guts in different calls, actually the set i been using in my contest call for about the last 2 years in the smh, have been the grey guts. Now i have them in a showtime . I can't actually tell you the difference in the two, i really don't see any other than the color, but i sometimes shave the wedge to get the guts to fit the way i like them which is not real tight, just tight enough for them, to stay fitting good. If you shave the wedge or depending on how tight or how loose the fit is in the call will also, change the sound, but that is another story. Maybe someone else can tell you the difference in the 2 sets of guts, Maybe one is a softer material i don't know never really asked anyone , but it is a good question.

It is my understanding that the green guts are a bit softer andaredesigned to "wear in" quicker. I don't know that you will notice much change in your sound, the big difference in the sound metween theMGand SMH is the materialit is made out of,polycarbonate vs. acryllic or wood. I wouldsay give the green guts a try, and let us know how you like them.
