Well I have not used that one, but I have their deer blind, and must say it does fold up very well, and set up very easy, along with being a nice blind.
Also, I have sat in a few of their waterfowling blinds just to see if I would like them, and I did. That rip cord system worked very well for kicking the top open.
However I didn't get to field test to see if they held up, so take it for what its worth.
I also decided to go with a layout blind, I don't hunt around bales, so IDk if that would be the right blind for me. I could see that being a fantastic blind if you have kids, or/and an elderly person with. And if you hunt around hay bales, it should work just fine.

I'm thinking of getting it in Max 4HD, it has loop holders. I believe it would make a great blind for hunting river and pond banks. It has loop holders for brush and grass to help blend it in.

Well I can't see why it would be any worse then having a big boat blind.
Looks like a great deal, like I said, as long as everything holds up, the way that top flops back is slick if you ask me.
It was done with a foot release on the ones I checked out, which leaves your hands free for calling and for your gun.
Slick rig, and brushed up it should work just fine.

I have one in max4. We bought it to field hunt... we used it one time and that was it. If there's much wind it will blow all over. It fits two guys, but that's about it. It goes up and down fairly easy, but it's hell to put together at 5:00 am. I'd just use a layout even for river banks.. I think you'd be much happier.
We have used it quite a bit for turkey hunting... it works pretty good for that.

A buddy had one. Worked OK in the field. As stated above, fits two guys in chairs. Can get pretty tight though. Any wind at all and you will be looking for other options.
Used it down on the river. Blended in well. Wind was not a factor as we were on a sandbar below the bank.
There is a reason we haven't used it in the past three years. Set up is a pain, and there are better options that fit our style.

I think layout blinds would probably be the better choice. What is the best layout blind?

Depending on your size and how much you want to spend, I would recommend one of the F.A. Brand blinds. I personally am 5'10" and 180 lbs, and I love my S.U.B.'s (I have a few  ). But if you want to spend a little less the Express is hard to beat. I also really like the new Pro-Land'r. If your a big guy you might want to look at the Pro-Guide XL.
Final Approach started the layout blind revolution, and still build the best layouts available. They are durable, comfortable, and pack up pretty small for transport to the field.
Best advise I can offer is to go to a shop that you can try them out, lay in them, try comming up out of them like you would to take the shots. See which one fits you the best, then make an informed purchase.
Hope this helped some,
Jeff

I am 6'1' 165lbs and run a power hunter, can't beat the low profile, and the cage that helps hide us wild callers.
I have heard a lot of good on the FA SUB too, my buddy runs finishers and loves them, another buddy runs a ground force and loves it.
Then of course I have heard negative about everything too, you always have those people that seem to be able to break everything, be it a FA blind or an Avery.
So like said before, figure out what you need, river banks and pond banks lead me to believe having a super low profile isn't to important. So knowing that, you can get away with a bigger more comfortable blind.
Running up to the local sporting goods store and sitting in a bunch of them, never hurts. Take them apart, then see how easy it is to put up, because you will most likely be doing it in the dark, make sure there aren't little parts that will get lost.
Just mostly common sense things, but never hurts to hear.
