NICE BUCKS!!! Wish we had a few more deer like that around my area in PA....they are here, but they get pressured SO HARD that if you don't kill one in archery, good luck!!! You can kill decent deer in rifle season if you are driving them, but stand hunting won't produce like in archery season. More deer hunters in PA than in ANY other state...kind of scary in rifle season!!!

Nice shots! I actually just got back in from shooting my bow before I jumped on here. I'm pumped up for all aspects of hunting...bow..birds...rifle..all of the above. This year more than ever, not sure why though.
Our camera's I guess got stolen. One of the guys tht the in-laws have hunted with for 20+ yrs told us that they are gone. F@&!RS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess we'll be on ouw own again.......lol. Thats ok, I like it better that way.

Definitely ready to kill something! Going down this Friday to put in my fall food plots, and put out my trail cameras. Last season I had 2 of my digital trail cameras stolen! :x . Unfortuneately I guess that's the way it goes. In the past 3 years, I've had 3 lock ons, 1 ladder stand, and 2 trail cameras stolen, and I had my good climber stolen 5 years ago. I can't stand a thief!

After our trail cams got stolen, the father-in-law said "take my wife, not my hunting sh!t."
I guess the stuff is expensive, and most people would let it go, but there are some idiots out there, that think it is cool because they didn't have to pay for it. REAL ETHICAL!!!
I'll stop now, we could all go nutz on that subject.
Good pics guys, good luck and have a safe season!

Well I found the reason to smash one of my cameras..this camera has taken countless flawless pics...and it decided to take a blurry one for some reason..all the rest were fine. Worthless luck. Anyway..looks like a good 3 1/2 year old and some other buck near one of my freshly planted plots. I got turnips comin' out the a$$ this year :)

No offence there guy's but those bucks are considered small were i'm from. I've seen a couple bucks this year that will make 160 easy. Last year i shot a 167gross, 165 net buck and i missed 2 bigger. one of them was a non-typical that would score about 190.

I just started now hunting last year. I shot over the back of a doe at close range and under another doe at long range the same day. I was shaking like a leaf and they were just does!!! I didn't hunt the rut, definately taking some work off for it this year.

Yeah..they are just decent bucks for around here in the golden triangle of illinois. We took a nice 160 14 pt last year off my farm and the neighbor killed a 172 12 pt typical as well. Just gotta get pics of some of these beasts...but they're here!

I know there are monsters on the neighboring farms that come through ours during the rut, just these deer live here all year round. I know of atleast 3 170" and up on farms around ours, just have to be in the right place at the right time!! I cant wait to hang these camera over scrapes and a rubline to see whats using them during season. They have definitely become a must have scouting tool. I'll post some more pictures as I get them if they are of any interest because we just hung another 2 cameras so we should be checking all 5 of them this weekend!

They were a long time ago (almost 5 years now), and actually we didn't have that much sucess with them. We mixed up some household componates and poured them in these areas and the deer have dug the crap out of them. The one with the 2 bucks is actually deep enough that it will hold water for quite awhile (its in the thicker timber) and the card which will hold 300 something pictures was filled full in 19 days. They are also just off the paths of heavily used trails out to our food plots.
Oh I forgot to mention if you look at the top picture he has a double brow tine on the left side (actually the deers right brow tine if he were looking at you)

Max4-
Hes a big one for sure! AND the sweet thing is he had another 2-3 weeks of growing time after this picture was taken. So will be a little bit bigger atleast! I'll post some other pictures if we get anymore monsters in velvet or hardhorn....

Good pics. How have things been going? Not bad here. Started the new job with the other company. Going alright. Getting into marketing and sales. Different to say the least. I need your personal email address otherwise I will just chat with you here. I am carrying a 224 average in bowling so far this year. I had a 724 series last week. Oh well, talk to you later, keep in touch.

Hey dekker, do you think that big 10 point taken on August 20th is the same buck in the picture with the two bucks from July 8th? The one walking away looks like it could be that big 10 cause in the earlier picture, it looks real tall like it just grew a ton in that month and a half span? Whata ya think? I think Im gonna go with ur dad during the rut if he will take me!

Kevin, you'll need to host them online, I use photobucket.com. Download them from your computer to the online photobucket. Then when you want to post on here, type your text, then enter to next line, push the Img tab up top, then you'll copy the url address for your image from photobucket (you can highlight the url address on your album at photobucket for the image, then on the edit tap for your windows push copy, then when posting on here you can just paste it) then after push the *Img tab at the top, and it should post up. Good luck and look forward to your pics. If you want to post more than 1 photo at a time on your post, just enter to a new line each time and repeat the process for each photo.
