WHICH CALL FOR COMP

THINKING OF CALLING IN THE WISCONSIN STATE AND WONDERING WHICH CALL I SHOULD USE. GOT A SHOWTIME, MONEYMAKER, TRIPLE CROWN, SUPER MAG, SUPER PROMAG, REAL THANG, SMH, HPH, PARALYZER SR1.........AND A BIG RIVER FLUTE.

I will just say this i got a Showtime two days ago and wow!! That thing is loud and it is responsive you can blow anything on it. It will actually probably get used more than my SMH durring the season now. i have never contest called but i would say it will get the job done. A must have call in my opinion now for any hardcore goose hunter.

you know what answer you will get here...but all those calls are proven comp calls...except the the Big River...but I did see one take second in a comp contest eight years ago....hey my cousin lives in Alma...Danny Hanson...he races at Fox something Raceway....pretty nice back there,....joe

BUT I SEEN ON CALLIN DUCKS .COM THAT GROUNDS CALLS HAVE THE MOST WINS SO MAYBE THE JUDGES LIKE THEM MORE?

looks like you have all the call you would need for comps, out of all of them i would use the triple crown. Just my 2 cents

Really need to use whichever call is most comfortable to you.

You have to be able to do screaming hails to nasty soft lows, so a lot of control is needed. Quick spits, comeback screams, trains, on an on, and it can't stick a single note.

So run them all hard, and pick the one that will do every note you need, without sticking, and with a nice goosey sound.

Have to make sure it has power and volume though, that will make for clean crisp notes, that have some punch behind them. Plus a guy who has a limp hail call is going to get booted immediately.

FUN, make sure you're having fun though, contests are a blast, don't make it work.

I'd try the Real Thang barrel and the TC insert. Workd good for me.
