New Season

The new season is 3 weeks away for some. I myself can't wait to start putting the hurt on the Geese. Has everyone bought all there new gear?

all my gear just arrived from cabelas last night, alls i got left to do is go out and buy me some dryloks and i will be ready for the early season, cant wait

I have been waiting 6 months . Already done a bunch of scouting .Bought some more decoys,a timber rattler,highplains honker,and some clothing.
Just counting the days!

You keep scoutin Brad....I'll save my gas :D ...but we are definately ready here in PA..I watched about 500 honkers pile into an oat field across the road from my house this morning....I also have been buyin stuff to kill time...Market hunter..Timber Rattler...FA flag(I break about 2 a year)... 21 days boys !!!

Hell yeah I'm ready to smoke some big ol' honkers, but gear wise, me and the "IOWA KILLIN' CREW" aren't ready yet. But me and Iowamigr8tor did just split a dozen GHG full body mallards feeders and actives. They look awesome. We are also getting a few new BF and Im buying a dozen new BF floaters before September 1st.

Hey Miller ya better add 2 dz Lifesize Mallards and a 1/2 dz teal to that count, on top of what other ducks i have. I think it will make about 5 dz. Cant wait to get the BF's and another 1/2 dz fullbodies. After that I think the last think I need is a new pair waders.

Stop it migr8tor, you can always use more gear. As the season goes on, I am constantly in Scheels and Sportsmans looking for something that would improve how I hunt. I rarely come outta those places with nothing in a bag!! haha :D Also, are we still gonna each buy a case of Fasteel 3 inchers, one of us buy 2's and one of us buy 4's and then split them? If Al or Jordan want in, we can get 3's to and split them all up.

I'm jealous of you guys. We don't have an early goose season here in CA. We have dove on Sept 1-15. Then we wait until late October to hunt duck and geese. But I can't wait either.

i have the itch really bad. ready to get out there and shoot em up. just went out scouting today and it looks promissing. hopefully better than last years opener.

Yeah last years opener did suck pretty bad. But I think I did okay with my 3 shells when the one and only flock did decide to pay a visit. Al, we should go scouting soon, I got a few spots I wanna check out.
