Hey guys need some Pro-Staff advice...
New to geese...just moved from Louisiana to Massachusetts and found out about the ole honker. Bought a low end call to learn on and need to bump up a notch. Not certain on how my hunts will go so I didn't want to jump in to a top line call just yet. I've been doing my homework though and can tell the obvious differences in quality between the Foiles calls and some others. Situation - I want a call that is going to give me a broad range of tone and quality of tones. I'm comfortable with the price of the "Meat Grinder" but have no resource outlets here to try a few for my own comparison. As can be expected, I'm sure the quality I would get from any of your products is well worth the money spent, but how does the MG stack against the higher end calls you market? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

too far from the bayous....

I think the MeatGrinder is an awesome call especially for the money. It gives you a clear goose sound and a range that is just awesome. The biggest difference from the acrylic line is just the crisp sound that you only get from acrylic. I use my meatgrinder quite often and I own both!

I think you would be extremely happy with the meat grinder, it is a great call reguardless of price, but when you kick in it's price is is one of the best buys out their. Like Muntz said, the main difference is the crispness of of its sound, the Poly calls have a little more "buzz" to them that the geese often like. The MG is a great call for some one new to the sport, or a seasoned veteran. If you give the shop a call (1-800-83-GEESE) I wouldbe willing to bet you get some one to give you a demo of the call over the phone, and then tune one up to your liking and ship it out.

Good luck this season.
