Sorry, my dad won a synthetic nova at a DU banquet last spring. He just sold it for $250 just to get rid of it. We both shoot SBE's so we dont have any need for a pump shotgun. The nova only had one shell run through it. My dad took it turkey hunting and shot a tom with it. Thats the only shell that was run through it.

He should have kept that nova as a spare or back up. As great as the SBE is, it can still have a serious problem that needs it to be sent in for repair, then it is nice to havean extra.
I shoot Nova's and love them, I have 2 of them, one in Max-4 26", and the other black 26" I bought it as a spare to the Max-4 and also let buddies that don't have an appropriate shotgun for goose hunting. If you have a Dick's Sporting goods nearby they can order them in at a good price, but they take a few weeks to come in.

I bought mine at Dick's, I believe the one you are talking about at Bass Pro, was actually the Stoeger P350, they called it a Benelli in their sales flyer, but it was actually a stoeger, they are modeled after the Nova, but not quite the same.

If they advertise it as a Benelli then they have to honor the ad. It would be Illegal for them not to. Deceptive Advertising more specifically a Bait and Switch strategy, meaning that they are advertising for the Benelli but have the intention of getting you in the store and switching it to a stoeger. This is Illegal not to mention I would buy the Benelli over the Stoeger anyday! Just a consumer beware thing. Try it at the store, I am about 100% sure they will honor without a problem, unless an ad correction has been printed and either sent out or on location to advise the purchaser of the product. Hope that helps.

I believe it was a mistake that they corrected in store. Stoeger's are imported by Benelli, and that is probably where the error was made by some pencil pusher, that doesn't know the difference between ashotgun and an air rifle.

Hecht08, I'm sure that you're a Benelli man, all the GREAT ONES are. Just kidding!! And I am as well. I shoot a SBE, but I would seriously check out Browning BPS's. In my opinion, they're a better gun than the Nova's. Its seems to me that every Nova, new or used that I've picked up the pump has been really loosy goosy. That might not mean its a bad gun, but it seems like the BPS's pump action holds alot tighter. Besides that reason, I'd say its a good gun. I think Nova's pull up better, though. BPS's seem to be kinda front heavy. I know I cant shoot one very well.

browning BPS s are awsome. i have one in black, 3 in and it gets the job done. also i havent cleaned it in a long time, and no jamming on this browning.

Kingkilla, its pretty tough to get a pump to jam up unless its really cold or it has a bunch of sand in it. I would hope it wouldnt jam.

If you can hold off a few months, their is rumor of the Benelli "Nova II" or "Super Nova". It is going to have the comfort tech and criotech systems. They will also have exchangeable stocks with rumor of a Steadygrip stock option.
