I just got back from a fishing trip with my older brother. When we got back I feed my dogs and was walking back to the house. I looked down to my right foot cause it seemed wet and saw blood, lots of blood. I took my right shoe off and seen all the blood in it. The blood had filled all the way to the brim of my shoe. I put some weight on it and saw blood squriting rapidly out of my ankle. I had some vacosle (SP?) vein popped and I was losing blood. The ambulance drove out in the country to pick me up. The paramedics said I lost a ton of blood, around two litters, town got word I bled to death cause of a cut artery. Thats what a woman said that was there to help me. She made matters worse than it was.
I am ok thought, but please send some thoughts and prayers. Can't wait to get this damn stiches out cause my ankle is hurting bad!!!

glad to hear youre ok....direct pressure and elevation next time ( hopefully there won't be a next time) to stop bleeding. That is a lot of blood to loose from a varicose vein.
