i have 2 blinds on the illinois river, i have done one with willows in the past years and it looked good, the background is hardwood trees, and then last year we spent a good 3 days brushing it, by using all tree branches and man did it look awesome, and on the other side of the river i have a blind that has cattails behind it so we brush it with cattails, if you got a woods background i would go with willows or natural trees, keep it dark and make it look natural, other than that if you got grasses behind ya brush it up with them or cattails

I have 6 or 8 blinds on the pamlico sound and I use the natural marsh grass gowing on the banks evan if the blind is in the middle of the water at least it looks natural. just my opinion

Yet, king's buddy would be me. My dad and uncle have been hunting the river ever since they were very little. We always just use willows to brush our blinds. There are tons of blinds around us and that's what everyone does. It's the easiest way because you can use big pieces and cover alot of area quick. They turn brown within a few weeks and look really good. You gotta look out for all the damn spiders and other bugs during the early season. They're everywhere. And Im not even kidding!
