Game Fair in MN went on this weekend, got a chance to BS with a lot of great guys. These events are in fact the only place I can manage to hold a conversation with other people, its where I shine.

Miller, great guy, he was awesome to talk to, and I have to tell you all.

He WON novice goose. He did great, and it was really great talking to him in the bullpen.

There were 25 callers total, 3 rounds, final round cut to 5 guys. 2 Foiles calls in the top 5 with Miller on the win, and Cole coming in fourth.

Congrats, I had a hell of a time, may end up getting back there next weekend but who knows.

Then waterfowladdict pulls off 3rd in Regionals!!!!! talk about jackpot.

I got 5th in novice goose. Shocked the hell out of me, but then again Miller was in disbelief how well he did too, I think all of us but Cole were surprised how far we got.

Wish I could afford to go back for state tomorrow, managed to meet up with a Zink staffer and get a decent reed after the contest.

Fantastic day, all were great guys, I'd like to get out on a hunt or two with Miller, and shoot the bull a little more.

Oh and yes I did take some of the advice given, I believe if you ask the guys that heard me, the camera seems to dull my sound. So that may have been the problem with the clucks.

But the honks were my deduction today, and I used some of the advice on what to cut for flow and that turned out great.

I just got off the phone with him (Ben) and he just won the MN State Duck!! Which means he punched a ticket for World's this fall!!! Way to go Ben! You sounded damn good and blew clean routines all the way in the novice and regional and obviously the State Duck as well. 8)

He sounded pretty damn good. You wouldn't have thought so just looking at him.....wearing a lanyard with a SMH, a duck call, and a Super Mag which he was blowing. Craig and Scott had a tie-breaker after the 3rd round (we thought that was for the win and 2nd), but Scott locked his call up hard and Craig took 2nd and he took 3rd. Forget the guy that got 4th's name (Saunders guy), but Cory Loeffler got 5th. Cory was leading I believe, but locked his first hail call up of the 3rd round. :cry: He has his call smokin' in the first 2 rounds. I just missed the cut for 3rd round in the open.....took 6th place and they took 5 back for final round.

Definatley. We will have to figure out schedules this Sept. and get a good shoot lined up for the film.

If I'm not mistaken, he was winning the Open Goose going into the final round and then stuck the hell out of his first hail call. His parents were standing next to me at that point and they were naturally really bummed.

His whole call was adonized aluminum.... pretty sweet sounding if you ask me! But the final round was FULL of STICKAGE!
