its a great gun. i was lookin at it when i was in the market for a new gun. fits kinda like a remington, so it feels good. action is sweet as is the KO if he opts for that. and the coating is excellent. the only thing i did not like was the safety being infront of the trigger. i ended up buying a SX3 and love it. but then again, your spending $1000 + on a shotgun, they all will be good.

I love mine.....I got mine without the Kick Off recoil reducer. No problems feeding any type of load.

I just got mine this past week, and I LOVE IT. I've only put about 150 shells through it but they've cycled without any problems. It's really easy to clean, completely breaks down in like 3 minutes. I got mine without kick off also and you can feel those 3.5" shells. I don't really have anything to compare it to though because I've only ever shot 3". I still probably wouldn't have spent the extra 4 or 500 dollars on the KO. I'll save that for when I'm old and really need that ultra recoil reduction.

I got an SBE 2 this summer and my dad got an Xtrema 2 w/KO. I shot his at the trap range for about 10 rounds and I was pleased to say that I made a good decision on getting the SBE 2. I did more research on what gun to get than I have ever done for any class in school, countless hours.... Both guns have their pro's and con's. And like UWSPhunter said the safety is infront of the trigger and I have always shot an 870 so that kind of bothered me about the Xtrema. As far as recoil goes, they are about the same, which is nothing on 2 3/4 trap loads, but one thing I seem to notice is when you fired the Xtrema you could feel the action really lock back more than the SBE 2. Not sure if this has to do with the fact that the Xtrema 2 is a gas system and the Benelli is inertia driven or what. Bottom line, your going to have to find what fits you best. The SBE 2 just felt better when i threw it up to my shoulder than the Xtrema and I liked the way it pointed better too. Hope this helps you man.

My dad has some neuro damage that effects his hands and left arm from a surgery a couple years ago. So he could no longer shoot his 870, because he was unable to pump it. He really liked my SBE2 but the Foregrip is to thin for his limmited hand use. Then he looked at the Beretta. He bought it in Max-4 with out the KO, and fell in love with it immediatley. I have shot it and like it very much also. I still prefer my SBE2 because it fits me better. As far as recoil. My Dad is 65 years old, and shoots 3.5" shells with out a problem, keep in mind that he has nerve damage that is also effected by recoil. This spring he shot a big old tom with 3.5" Turkey loads with out a problem. I am a Benelli Guy myself (nevermind my Browning 10 Ga.) but I still believe that if you stick with the B's (Benelli, Beretta, Browning/Winchester) when it comes to shotguns you will be happy. The most important thing is the way it feels and fits the individual. For me the Beretta is just a little to "chunky" but it fits my dad great. If it is what you like, it fits you well and points good for you, don't hesitate buy it.

I shoot an Xtrema 2 with the Kick Off and am very pleased with it. The difference in price between one with a Kick Off and one without is about $100. more than the cost of buying the Kick Off from Beretta USA I have been told. So you might look into buying an Xtrema 2 without the Kick Off and buying the Kick Off from Beretta USA.

I have an extrema 2 and really like it, the ko is nice because your second shot is right there because the recoil is so light. I would reccomend this gun to everybody
I shoot a Beretta Xtrema and love it. I have shot everything from light trap loads to 3.5 inch T Shot out of it and they eject like there is no tommorrow and recoil isn't bad at all....I couldn't imagine how could it would be with the Xtrema 2 with the KO option

random tid bit.. if u plan on shooting trap anywhere with it. TS makes a shell catcher for the Uriekas, aka xtrema2, but dont make them for benellis or Super x's.
