Im wondering what call out of the box is the most goosey ?

Plus there are many subspecies of the canada goose, so it also depends upon what type of goosey you are looking for.

If you want that deep big goose, really raspy sound, there was a black cherry showtime at the game fair that was fantastic sounding, and had that really raspy big goose sound on the bottom, truly sounded and ran great.

If you are looking for the little goose, cackler barrel with the short comp insert is a great sounding little machine, got to play around with one today.

That is really the two ends of the spectrum, and these are just Foiles calls.

A foiles flute??? or just any wood flute???

I must say, Neuwiller on the Eastern Shoremen would definitely be a great point in that argument. As that call can also run like a short reed, produces very realistic sounding notes from spits to plain ole honks.

But if you mean any flute, like the faulks or big rivers, I wouldn't agree, they may kill birds, but out of the box "most goosey" I don't think so.

You know he runs a cackler more though, I talked to him at game fair, he has a real thang and a sweet cackler on his lanyard.

When I asked him to do some good low end stuff he put the real thang down and picked up the cackler. When I asked why he said " I like the feel of the barrel better, but if you look at these side by side, the real thang was based off of this call"

He also uses his own guts in it. I have been wondering what that sweet cackler with TC guts in it would run like. May be a combo I have to buy this winter.

Yes he is definitely wicked, his mainstreet goose contest call is a poly carb super mag, and definitely works some nasty low end on that as well.
