I went to Bass Pros and checked out a Market hunter goose call. I Liked it, so when I found one for a lot less on ebay, I bought it. When I got it it seemed to be really tight, like it didn't whant to change tones well. I sent it in to the shop, and when I got it back it didn't sound different. Is there a possibility that there is somthing wrong with the call? Is it not broke in? I am getting frustrated. I watch Jeffs video and can't make the right sounds. I can on my other call. Any suggestions please, besides not buying a call sight or sound unseen?

I had one that did the same thing! No matter how I tried to tune it. It never got any easier to blow.

Try putting new foiles guts and reed in it . May be that will help. You might just need to break the guts in also. Who knows how much that call was blown at the Bass Pro Shop it could of had the guts broke in.

I highly doubt theres an issue with the call, being that the shop tuned it, they would have found a problem if there were one. Usually when the shop tunes them there setup for an average caller, it sounds like it might need to be tuned easier to fit your needs. See if you can find a staffer in your area to retune it to fit you.

Yep, it may be the indian and not the arrow on this one.

Keep at it, build up your lung power and see if that helps.

I talked to a lady from the factory, and she said that when they tune a call, they set it to a standard sound, but if I explain what I'm looking for they can dial it in a little. So I'll try that. I know it sounds like I probably don't know how to work the call, but I'm not bad with other calls. Don't get me wrong I won't be on any stages any time soon. Hopfully I'll get it figured out. Thanks for the response.
