I'm shooting a Hoyt Katera 28" draw, Easton SuperSlim ACC's with Rocket Wolverine Mechanicals. I use a MT. blackgold Flashpoint sight,a Ripcord rest, and Fuse staby and quiver. Our general season gets going on the 6th, but we are already chasing Antelope since the 15th.

Mathews outback 30" draw 74lbs with easton axis 340 arrows. Well thats what I used to shoot, got out of bow hunting last year, am all waterfowl now.

I used to always like to shoot the small deer, because I never had the patience for the biggins. Shot a lot of raccoons as well. Thousands of carp over the 16 years I pursued them.

Robinhooding a carbon arrow takes a perfectly tuned bow because any slight difference in arrow flight will cause the carbon arrow to explode or blow out the side. So robinhooding them is very possible if you make sure you are in tune.

Good luck gentleman.

The funny thing is, the Mythbusters tried to robin hood, and couldn't do it.

Perfectly tuned bow? Maybe, maybe not. I call it dumb luck

Take almost any bow and a Hooter Shooter and you'll get robin hoods almost every shot.

I'm pretty sure guys that shoot competitively can robin hood arrows whenever they want....I have seen guys not shoot the same target more than once, because they don't want to break nocks off and/or robin hood arrows. I've personally done it once, from about 20 yards and I couldn't believe. Only thing was that the first arrow wasn't really in the bullseye....it was a few inches off and I shot another one in the exact same place apparently.

I shoot a Hoyt Ultratec (2001-2002). I shoot it fully pumped up at about 70 lb. or a little more. Beaman arrows because Dekker is a serious believer in them and he knows his **** when it comes to archery. I also shoot some Radial X Weaves.

i know several guys that can hood an arrow basically whenever they want. if i do it yeah dumb luck, but others can do it consistently.

I wouldn't say whenever you want. But withing a half an hour sure.

I worked at an archery shop for 2 years, we had an olympic shooter in there every once in a while, he used to work there as well. He was insane, he had the body type of those worlds strongest men guys, also shot 80 pound bows.

But yes, anyone who shoots a bow very often should know that it isn't that rare to break knocks off, shatter arrows, and not as hard as they make it out to be to robin hood them.

It is the reason we shoot 5 dot targets, because if you shoot your 5 arrows all at one spot, 3 will come out needing replacement.

If you guys don't believe that people actually shoot this good, go get a new high end bow, shooting 50 arrows a day and get back to me in a month.

I am talking a $1000 set up.

i saw a pic(so maybe not true) that a guy filled a 20oz pop bottle with arrows. yes the part you drink out of. was supposedly at 20 yards. not sure if it was true, but it still looked pretty cool.
