For those that remember me talking about this.
Looks like the strike is almost over. Te company and the union finally agreed on a contract. The vote is tomorrow (Thursday) and hopefully they vote yes. This is making the wife happy. Now she can go back to work. It has been hard on her with the baby on the way.
Marathon Refinery (the company) and Local 120 came to an agreement two days after Local 120 won multiple law-suits.
They include..
-Unlawful labor act, forcing the office personel to work 7 days a week 12 hr shifts, and apparently if they didn't they said that they wouldn't have a job
-not offering COBRA insurance to any of the employees, they forced them to pay the FULL premium to have insurance
there are more, but I was just told that I can't say the rest of them
Now, if I could just get this knee under wraps and back in shape, we'd be doing much better.
