Sure has a lot of red plumage for a blue wanger, but it's so hard to tell one from another this time of year.

Might be. We get a bunch of Cin's out here. But when i see then they are already full plumage.

They're pretty rare around these parts... at least I've never seen one in EASTERN nebraska.

according to the guys on the nebraska outdoors forum it's either a hybrid or a very young cin. Taking it to the state museum this week to find out!

Indeed, I'm interested to find out as well. That's pretty much out of cin range, so that would be quite the achievement!
