Saturday-

1 bird. Not what should have happened. 20+ birds in the pond the afternoon before, it's the early season it's gonna happen. The best part was the one of the clients with us, his 12 yr old son, was the one that shot it, his first goose!!!!!!

Sunday-

Same field. Same spread. Small changes to arrangements. Many more birds flying. 4 birds 1 band----My first!!!!!!!!!

Monday-

Different field. Other side of the metro. Seen 50-75 birds. Flock of 7 comes in and 4 stayed. Pair come in and one stayed. 5 birds 9 shots.

Hopefully next weekend works out the same or better. Pics to come soon....

We had a good weekend. Could have been better as far as numbers taken, but that is the way it goes. Sunday and Monday was a lung workout! Lots of calling and flagging. The SMH's were in great tune and did great.

Monday we had a group of 5 in the feild to the let of us, and they had 10doz+ deeks out we had just over 4doz out, and must have done something just right. We were calling geese away from them after we retouched up the blinds. Before that, they were sucking them in like there was no tomorrow. Shooting would have been better if it wasn't for the sky-busters behind us and infront of us. I'll try and get the pics up tonight.

thats the way the early season goes, hit or miss especially with sky busters out there, and man i tell you what, they are every where in the metro.

That they are. We had a flock of 12-15 comming over the trees, and as soon as they broke the trees this group was slinging steel. 55-65 yards above them. They unloaded, and ruined it for the rest of us. Thats the way some people work. It's a shame that people do that, and ruin things for those that take the time and money to do what it takes to get them in close for a good clean kill.

That spoiled little @hit shot his first dove with his first shot on Sunday.

We slammed the honkers Monday mornig pass shooing on the shooting limits of our city. 15 total by 9 AM. No bands!

The wind was perfect and they would drift over us to land in the no hunting zone. Those birds are going to learn quick.
