i am thinking about buying a high plains honker and have a quick question. i have heard tons and tons of good things about this call in burnt hedge but barely anything is said about it in acrylic, just curious how big of a difference there is between the two i have blown the acrylic and like it but havent been able to get ahold of a hedge to try. thanks

I have used both and i think the hedge call is awesome over water. Not as loud and is real deep and goosey. Probably one of the easiest and most goosey foiles call i have ever used. Just my .02

o yes flamed hedge whoops, i have never owned a high end wood call and wish there was a way i could try it out before i ordered one. does anyone know of any pro-staffers in the rochester area that would be willing to let me try one?

I have one in all acrylic and love it. Does everything I want it to and more. (Plus, its almost brand new) It may not be as goosey, but I like it. Might have to look into getting one in flamed hedge.

The Flamed hedge is softer so it sounds less like a acrylic and Cocobola is harder so sounds more like a acrylic call
i had bolth at the same time and would leave the acrylic at home. it is still an awesome call but the flamed is just more perfect sounding in my ears , get them bolth
