My opener on the year...pictures

Saturday proved to be a ton of work, getting pulled over for a broken tail light (he let me go because he saw my goose stuff and was a hunter himself!), and basically just a nice day to be out. No geese to show for my efforts, could have shot a really really nice ross that I convinced into about 5 yards in my 2 fullbodies and 4 floaters with some clucks from my SMH. He stayed around for about an hour and gave me a lot of chances for pictures! I'm pretty sure that he was banded but I couldn't get a great look. Let him be around for the 30th when I'm back home and hes getting it.

heres a couple of pictures of my set up...at this time I had moved the decoys out a little more (about 10 yards) to try to be more visible for passing by birds....

From out in my "kill hole"...my finisher was back in taller green weeds. I had already pulled out a lot of the cover before remembering to take pictures...too bad the birds never came, set up was perfect with the sun at my back along with the wind!

its hard to tell but it looks like a double leg banded goose. nice picks dekker
