Has anyone ever used a glue (Crazy Glue, etc.) other than fletching cement for refletching arrows?

I have and I found it to be very temperamental. Some arrows worked well, others didn't. I only use Goat Tuff now and have no problems. If you have no choice I would clean both shaft and vane very well.

I just fletched some arrows and used Loc-tite super glue gel and it seems to be holding up pretty good. I also used wraps so I don't know if that made a difference at all.

goat tuff is ok ... but at 16 bucks a bottle its a little pricy i would suggest fast fletch ... it comes in a orange tube and is around 7 $ IMO its the best stuff out there ... i worked as an archery tech for a hoyt proshop and then as archery lead of gander mountain so i've been around the block ... make sure you are wiping your shaft with either alcohol or acetone depending on if your using carbon or aluminum ... also if your using wraps a good trick is to install them on a mouse pad ... hope this helped

I had a knock fall off when my arrow hit the target. I just used superglue to put it back on, well krazy glue, and so far so good. I wont use that arrow for hunting, but shoots just the same as all my arrows

was this a carbon arrow? if so you might want to look very closely at the knock end to be sure there is not a small crack ... if there is throw the arrow out immediately because everytime you shoot the arrow it is making it weaker and the fracture will eventually grow and your arrow will shatter sending carbon fragments into your arm ... A guy brought an arrow in to have refletched and it was cracked by the knock and i told him it was useless but he took it and glued the knock in to hold it in place and 3 days later showed up in bandages to buy another half doz.
