I ONLY GOT A CHANCE TO HUNT FRIDAY MORNING BUT IT WAS ALL I NEEDED TO SATISFY MY URGE TO KILL GEESE. ME AND A COUPLE OF BUDDIES SHOT 12 HONKERS AND 6 WERE BANDED. IM GUESSING MOST OF THE FLOCKS WE SHOT AT HAD LOTS OF BANDS. IF WE WOULD HAVE SHOT BETTER WE EASILY COULD HAVE HAD OUR LIMIT AND MAYBE A COUPLE MORE BANDS. OH WELL, I STILL GOT MY FIX.

Good job man. :D Me and a few guys went out yesterday and killed 4, but I did get the first band of the year!! :D :D :D What is your guys limit up there? Here it is 3, then only 2 in the regular season.

THE FIRST TWO WEEKS ARE 5 A DAY PER PERSON. THE REST OF THE SEASON IS 2 A DAY PER PERSON. THE LAST FEW YEARS WERE 5 FOR EARLY SEASON TWO FOR A MONTH AND THEN 1 FOR THE LAST MONTH. FOR SOME REASON THEIR LETTIN US SHOOT 2 ALL SEASON LONG WITCH MAKES IT ALOT MORE WORTH WHILE TO HUNT THOSE LAST FEW WEEKS.

Outstanding job do you think most of those geese are locally banded? I would be interested to hear were they were banded. Up North here we don't shoot andy banded geese, but if I get down by Wausau or Medford you run into more.

all banding is done locally by our Green Bay Duck Hunters Association. We banded over 4000 geese in 3 counties in the last 3 years. took 8 bands the last 4 days

Congratulations on the bands and a good hunt..Don't kill them all tho let a few of them get down this way lol

My area does not band anything as we have a good population compared to the rest of the country so we are cosidered a low proiety got a banded mallard a few years ago from another area.
