Finally got some doves

After havin' a real crappy opening weekend,I went to some public ground before work today to dove hunt.I hunted for 2hrs. and shot 6 doves. nothing special except for the fact that the first two doves I shot were both BANDED! Man was I happy about that! Never shot a banded dove before and Here I get two same day,back to back. Gonna get out again tommorow and try to get more for the grill.I got a pict but not sure how to post still.

you're comin to my place next year lovell...we're puttin in a slough of sunflowers. Killed 90 something w/out 'em this year so far.

Get ahold of Hoosier Hunter and come down and shoot some doves with us. My wifes uncle will be cutting silage this week and will put a serious hurtin on both doves and hopefully some geese this weekend.

We killed 75 doves and 5 geese last Sat morning just because they like to travel through the property. Took us a liitle over 3 hours then, I bet we will be done in less than 2 hours if the fields are cut.

Thanks guys.Not been seein' much for geese but gonna give them and the teal a try friday a.m.We got quite a few doves around still but the public ground I hunt won't let us shoot till noon! Gives me about two hrs. to try a get some huntin' during the week.

Banded doves, look forward to seeing pics of them. Nothin like wrapping a dove breast around a jalepeno and then wrapping the whole thing with bacon and tossing them on the grill. :wink:
