never hunted it but theres alot of ducks in that area, im probably gonna try and hunt out there this season, i'll tell you how it goes if i do.

walnut lake can be exceptionally good late season i've hunted the back slough late when theres been water in it and u can't get ne better southern minnesota mallard shootin...i've started hunting the fairmont area quite a bit tho latly and it seems to have ducks no matter what time of the year and tons of geese give it a try some time....im from the mapleton area by the way....i go to school in ND now and i guess i can say i don't like comin back to minnesota to hunt waterfowl ne more but its nice to rekindle the past sometimes

Never hunted walnut lake never really hunted sotuhern mn have huinted nortern MN my whole life. I'm from Badger MN I hunt Lake of the woods a ton and hunt north of Badger on the pools there andalso a ton of field hunting also. Also hunt Roseau river and Theif lake and Aggasse Wma. How is the late hunt for ducks in southern mn

I have a good friend that I hunt bear with that lives in Bemidji, Is that close to you?

Duck Hunter Paul I live 3 hours north Of Bemidji. I only live about 7 miles south of the Manatoba border. I shot my bear up here a week ago not really a big one but nice. We had a great early goose hut up here alot of local Geese seen a few duck flying around but man we are dry the geese are sitting along the river where there is water but even the river is why low. It's going to be an intresting opener on The 30th of Sept take care. :D
