Take a piece of 320 grit sandpaper and lightly scuff up the tone board. This will help with moisture that may be sticking the reed to the tone board.
Don't do too much, this will affect the calls performance. Just put a fine path of scratches in it.

Try a thin coat of rain x too.

I use chap stick on mine. It is a great sounding call when it is not sticking. I think I will try that idea of the sandpaper, i have never thought of that.

I have a S Suzy that sticks as well. Emailed Big Sean he advised they had some problems with the early production, to send it back and they would take a look. Didn't want to do that simply because its a month til our season and I assume the boys are off hunting as well.
Might try the Rain-X, whats the downside to using this on the reed?

I'm wondering what the effects of rain X are too.

I own "The Legend" and it sticks and I saw on Foiles 2.0 calling video how to cure it, use sand paper or just a simple fingernail file and I keep a dollar bill handy to run through the reeds to soak up the saliva while in the blind

the dollar bill trick will work however its aggravating
my Suzy has gotten tight where it won't pull apart. I'm hoping cold weather will fix that problem. Any ideas? I'm thinking the next time i get it apart it might need some rain-x too or WD-40

for the guys wondering about the rain x and what it will do to the call; it will not effect the call in a negative way. i have the same problem with some of my calls and i called foiles and asked them about the rain x and they assured me it would not harm the call. I also have some competition caller friends and they said alot of guys use rain x on their competition calls to help them from sticking.
hope this helps out.

rainx and the toneboard scuffing will work fine....but everyone should also try working on blowing hot air, no pun intended, in their call. Moisture is the main reason for a sticking reed ( not an air lock ) and is caused by spitting while running notes through the call. if you will focus on blowing hot air, kinda like fogging a window, you will see your call sticking less, and will soon be less time fixing stuck reeds. take your call with you in the truck or whenever you have spare time and practice on it. eventually you will be to the point where you create less spit with the hot air attempt. Hope this helps, and if you don't have enough time to practice, spray a light coat of rain x, or keep the rain x wipes in your blind bag and put it on every couple of days.
As for the calls being to tight to pull apart, if its wood it should be kept apart while in immediate heat, and acrylic shouldn't do this. The only thing that i can think of to make a call completely lock where you can't pull it apart is
1. cleaning it with something that is chemically bonded .... listerine, or something along those lines. Always use alcohol to clean them
2. the insert is pushed to far into the barrel. these calls are designed to be snug, not tight so once its snug in there...don't push anymore. if you are using one of our calls with o rings, run a thin layer of vaseline on the rings to keep them lubricated, or chapstick.
hope this helps guys, and if you have any ?s pm me and i will do my best to help any of you out

Do you go the lenght or across the sound board.
You would scuff length wise.
Also, if it's a single reed put the reed down. Meaning, while the call is to your lips, the reed is on the ground side of the tone board.
If it's a double reed, take a pen and add another dimple just a bit back from the original dimple. This may make the call a bit harder to blow, more air, but will also help the reeds from sticking together.

The poly strait suzy stuck on me in the middle of a meat calling contest and I ended up finishing 6th out of 8 because of it. The call sticks on me alot out in the field too, but its a great sounding call.
