I heard a financial analyst on either CNN or Fox News last night(not sure which one). But, she used an analogy of a patient in the hospital to explain our current financial situation. Essentially, she said we're in the "ICU" right now and will be for a year or two, and then we might progress to just the hospital for another year or two, at which time we MIGHT get back to a stable economic state and maybe reach some level of prosperity a few years after that. Regardless, she thinks we'll probably be in a rough financial situation for years before we see a light at the end of the tunnel. I was planning on becoming a Financial Planner in two years when I graduate from Cornell, but that's looking like it might be a grim career choice. As a Finance major, I might be screwed. There's always Accounting to fall back on though. This financial situation is a true crisis and it's not going away, despite desperate attempts with a "bailout plan." If you have a ton of debt or a bad mortgage, prepare for the worst.

People who got themselves into bad loans are hurting the most. It is hard to pay the bills when there is no money to pay them with.

I have been lucky in my life to not take on a huge sum of debt. All the loans I have had I was able to pay off early and never miss a payment. I am only holding a truck loan right now and some other small credit cards bills. But if I was a person with a big flex rate home loan I would be freakin out right now. Everyday we turn the TV on and see Wall Street is sucking the DOW is down almost daily. The bail out plan is a joke. I never heard that to fix a problem where people had money, made bad business choices with that money and lost most if not all of it. Its a great idea....Hey let's loan these companies more money so they can try again!!!! What a joke!!!

I just pray that this works itself out for the best. America is having a tuff time right now when it comes to money and we could use a much needed break or string of Good Luck!!!!

Speaking on the bailout plans , its good to know that Americas money is going so that AIG can throw a $440,000 bailout party in Southern California for its top earners. :? :x

Yep. 400,000 thousand spent on a spa retreat is pretty ridiculous. Although, I bet those guys have been EXTREMELY stressed the past couple of weeks(however, that does not come anywhere close to justifying spending bailout money to please execs).
