REALTREE MAX 4 HD it has the most depth and tone to it. Mossy oak looks like the same mossy oak only covered with some grass. MAX 4 is its own style of camo!

shadowgrass (in my opionion) is the best for cut corn or cut wheat fields and max4 blends in better in flooded timber. just my two cents

For the areas I hunt around home....MOSG by far. MAX-4 sticks out like a sore thumb. Now when we get up into NY and Canada...we have a few spots where MAX-4 would be the deal.

All in all...my opinion still lays with MOSG - cornfields, cattail sloughs, creek edges, swampgrass....for the areas we hunt it works perfect. I will agree that MAX-4 is the deal for flooded timber and redbrsuh swamps.

Canany of you guess my pick? I am not a big fan of any of the mossy oaks. I use Max-4 for waterfowl, Hardwoods HD for Deer, and Hardwoods Green for turkey.

Gotta be max 4. As far as blendin in corn fields or wheat fields why not switch it up to advantage wetlands. that seems to blend in pretty good to me. http://www.realtree.com/patterns/guide-wetlands.tpl

I used to wear break up for deer huntin till one of my buddies took a picture of me at like 50 yards and i stuck out like a sore thumb so guess what im switchin to thats right real tree hardwoods. Real Tree has the deal!

Smoke you are right their, my buddy had MOBU on and I had Hardwoods HD on, and another buddy who was walking up on us saw him well before me, the MOBU stuff doesn't work here in the deer woods.

If I was gonna wear somethin' other then Max-4 in corn..it would definately be WETLANDS. Before we had layouts...we would use wetlands camo w/ a wetlands 10x10 sheet to break us up. It just doesn't get any better then Realtree boys! And I do agree...hardwoods blows break-up out of the water! I'll be chasin' those skinheads next weekend for the late doe season!

the biggest thing is match your surroundings like they everyone else has stated.....i use both patterns....i like the looks of MAX-4 better though...more shadows and its darker which seems to be the ticket for cornfields and out on the water around here

i wear both just depends on where im hunting but wet lands gets more use around my neck of the woods

I just bought a pair of waders in MOSG and I like them. I have micalanious coats, shirts, and hats in both patterns though. Where I hunt ducks, I think MOSG blends in bettter than Max-4 because its millet and other grasses (hence the name shadow GRASS). I like Max-4 too though. But I'm normally in a layout blind or a boat so it doesnt matter too much.( AT least starting this next duck season when I have my Avery Quickset or the Foiles Fowl Shack0 STill havent heard anything on the fowlshack yet?!

i think that max 4 is the best. i just got a pair of weighters as well in max 4 and they look pretty good. i like the new shadow grass more than the old shadow grass. just my opinion

Killer Miller the last I heard from Kelley I think, the Fowl Shack has been put on the back burner for a while, Lot of changes and new things in store, with Jeff changing over to Final Approach and leaving Avery, and the new TV show and all.

i prefer shadowgrass in early season and max-4 in late season over all if i had to choose i would choose max-4

You seem to have your finger on the pulse of Team Strait Meat, almostan inside track if you will, so I will definately give you the benefit of the doubt here, and hold off a while to see the new fowlshack before I make up my mind. But I am seriously thinking about doing a permanent blind now, something similar to the one on Jeff's boat.

I am and have always been a big Mossy Oak supporter. I have to vote shadowgrass although Max-4 is a very good looking camo.

yeah definately go with the max 4 over mossy oak, the team of guys i hunt with here around me we dont wear any mossy oak, we use the max 4 for certain areas on the river, adn then we will use advantage wetlands in different situations, but i will use advantage wetlands in the cornfields or max 4 but no mossy oak
