I have a Charles Daly 3.5 semi . I know that they are not a real top of the line gun but my father has had 2 of this things for a couple of years now and has had no problem what so ever. He uses the factory choke tubes. I have two Pattern master tubes standard and the extended. Last year I had my action bar break. In the middle of the late season. Called them up and they sent a new part . I was cleaning my gun yesterday and the action bar is broke again . My question is could the Pattern master chokes be the cause. My dad seems to think so but I have know idea. Any thoughts are appreciated.
I used to work at a local sporting goods store and we had to stop selling charles daly because of so many problems with them, one being the action bars, I would say your dad is lucky.
As for the pattern master causing this, i would not think so. If i remember correctly patternmasters actually reduce back pressure so their would be less strain on internal parts.
Your charles sounds like a typical charles daly. My .02

A PatternMaster would actually take stress away from the action by somewhat reducing recoil through the ports.

 If the slide bars are breaking if you like the gun take the bars to the local machine shop and have the bars made. Good luck
