Just got back from an over nite hunt.Went to work in the morning drove for a couple of hours up country and scared some geese off a small lake as the overnite on the water and dont travel far enough.Then we drove over to a guys place and went spotlighting .Saw three deer but they were a bit toey then managed to kill 160 hares and rabbits in 3 hours .We stumbled into bed at 2 and got up at five and shot a dozen geese .Thats not many for over here but they were hovering over the decoys and were great to watch so this made up for the lack of geese .Winter geese are really hard to kill at this time of year and wont get easier till after they come out of the moult.
