why the hype over the production numbers... the calls i have without numbers are just as good if not better than the ones i have with numbers

Goosegetter the only reason they all hype over the number calls is because Probably someday they will be collector items and sell for alot of money. Plus its pretty cool when you can say hey i got a full lanyard of Foiles Strait Meat Calls that are Numbered

i think that he treats a numbered call like one that isnt numbered. they all get tuned by someone

All the calls are hand tuned, #'d or not, I think Big Sean does alot of the tuning anymore, I'm sure Jeff does alot still though. As far as #'d vs. not, it's a collector thing. If I had a choice of buying a new call unnumbered vs. buying a call that is in good shape and is #'d, I'd want the #'d call. They are the exact same call, no difference, just #'d. The 1st 5000 calls of each type (SMH, SMM, TR, DMM, etc.) are #'d 1-5,000. After that they are not numbered any longer.

It is our human nature to want something others can not have.
How many calls have number 3241 on them? one
Does not matter me.
Heck I even number some of the wildlife prints I buy.
Once your over wanting something others can not have it will not matter to you and you will save some cash.

I am trying to say we are funny creatures. 2 itendicals items except one has a number on it and it is worth more? Only becasue it has a number on it? Why? because we are funny creatures.
How can being numbered make it worth more? Because it is a limit supply and that limited supply is a little number on it.

That's the nature of collectibles, who knows if they'll be worth very much down the road or not, but it is nice to have a lanyard full of #'d calls for my own satisfaction 8). Actually it's cheaper to buy used #'d calls right now than to buy a new call anyway, so you'll save money and also get a collectible item as well  .

Yet, I like numbered calls too but it doesnt really matter to me. I do know that I have a SMM with the #2065 and a Timber Rattler wearing the number 3843 or something like that. My SMH isn't numbered and I've had it almost 2 years now. I am planning on getting a chartruse Showtime and Im sure it will be numbered. :D
