I am new to the area, but i am hunting the Wabash river a few miles south of SR 26. If anyone has any predictions about numbers, weather expectations, or tips for hunting the Wabash river I would be all ears. Thanks for your help.

I'll be hunting Minnehaha this weekend for the opener.. i heard that the wabash river hasn't gone over the banks, which means the fields aren't flooded unless you know someone that floods the fields.. i would recommend hunting like a shallow bank along a turn in the river! we've done pretty good on the wabash when the ducks are here and when all the small stuff is frozen but as of now being 60 degrees out, i'd say try to find a flooded spot just off the river that you can get permission for!
