If anyones looking for a new lanyard, dont be afraid to hit up Killin Crew Lanyards. These things are freakin sweet and are extremely comfortable. Definitly top of the list when it comes to top notch lanyards. I got a fatround braid, 5 drop, made from neon green and white.

Same here! Got one from Tyler and Ryan recently and it is superbly crafted. So good in fact that Tyler is making two more for me!

I will post pics when they all come in!

Yes, it came with slick little insert savers that slip on and off if you need the or not. Personally, I dont like them, they get in the way of my hands. I never use them so I had them just make me a single loop in the bottom middle instead of the double loops hanging down and have one random loop just hanging there not in use. They can pretty much do whatever ou want, they're great braidors.

foiles does use o rings in some of there calls. But we offer insert savers on our lanyards if the customer would like them.

Doesn't matter to me since I'm no longer in the lanyard business!

I suppose when you come up with something great, everyone wants a piece. Makes me proud that I came up with a design that is dupllicated so often.

You are giving yourself too much credit Toombs... I can assure you that little girl scouts have been braiding stuff that resembles this for much longer than you have... Although you can keep telling yourself that...

Of course I didn't come up with the braid! It's the design of the lanyard I'm talking about! You know I was the first to have the bottom finished the way it is!

I think I do, indeed, deserve some credit for what I did!

It is the most logical way to finish it off, besides you covered it up with a band anyways... If you were so impressed with it, you could have put the band in another location...

If it's the most logical way, why didn't anyone do it before me? I didn't see you come up with anything!

if you are so great at coming up with things like that why did you go belly up and have to sell out

WhiteFeather
10-22-2008, 09:57 AM
It isn't exactly the most rewarding thing a person can do. You sell one for 35-40 bucks and figure in the cost of materials, time involved, opportunity cost, and what I like to call "the blister factor" and it equates to a trade I will let someone else do.

Quick question: When was the busiest time of the year?

Belly up? Hardly....

Full time job, family and a young son, then come home and braid every day and forget about the rest of the important things in life.

Smart business desicion if you ask me.

Quick question: When was the busiest time of the year?

It was non stop from August until January, and then just really busy from February to July!

By the way, I did not go "belly up". Quite the opposite! I was getting so many orders, I couldn't keep up!

The busiest time of the season is hunting season... I bet you got to hunt a ton with all those orders...

You can make all the lanyards you wish but at the end of the day, it wasn't worth your time, or you would still be doing it...

I own 2 KCL myself. One all black fatround and a very custom red/white/blue one I had made up. It is a awesome looking lanyard! KCL are really nice lanyards and feel good on your neck when your hunting.

On the other hand MDL are really nice also and I have own a few of them in the past. I really liked them also. Thoe it took me a little time to get my order filled :-) it was worth the wait.

These guys who own these small "part-time" side business are people just like you and me. They work 40hr weeks, have other stuff they could be doing. I don't think its right to bash sombody for gettng out or selling out a business. Besides MDL built itself up with a good clinet base and I am sure when they sold out the owner didn't just give the business away!

Whitefeather what business have you started from the ground up? What business do you have period?

KCL is a good company trying to get a good client base and they make good products!

Whitefeather once again you have proven yourself to be a jackoff and a keyboard tough guy!!! What a joke!

What's the diff. Between if you buy one from someone or the store? In the end all the damn things need to do is hold some bands and some calls? Who cares who makes what when where why? If its good buy it if not don't.( My 2 cents)
