I have a DMM in acrylic and was wondering why my insert goes so far into the barrel. If I don't push it in almost to the loop groove you can hear the air escaping out of the sides. I just ask because all the other I see in cabelas and on here it is a quarter inch from being as deep as mine.

plus 1, the insert should be showing the saver loop, and it sounds like it is a tr, instead of a dmm.
Can you post up a pic of the insert so we can see the bored end of it, that might help

I can't post a pic because I.....just.....can't. I actually tried but couldn't get my comp. to recognize the USB blah blah blah. I have a TR and I put it's insert in the dmm and it looks like it is where it should be (according to other pics i've seen) I will send my calls into the shop to get tuned probably next week so maybe they can look at it and see.
Thanks y'all
I GOT A DOUBLE AND A SINGLE DMM AND THE DOUBLE GOES IN THAT FAR NOT SURE WHY

the reed set up shouldn't have anything to do with your insert depth. the insert should be snug, not tight, and not loose.
