I am thinking of getting a Beretta with the kick off system.
I have a SBE and it is a kicker.

check out the super x3 if its anything like the 2 you wont be dissapointed. beretta with kick off is nice as well shot my buddies and liked it but the sx2 fits me better.

that would be the 870, but im guessing your looking for a semi, and im gonna have to agree with Smoke on this one the x3 would be a good choice ive shot a few x3's this years which where my buddies and i liked them alot and they didnt kick bad, but as for me cant get away from the 870, prolly never will

If your looking for a semi-auto my hands down winner is the Benelli SBE 2 I also have a nova and I love it because I can abuse that thing and never clean it and it always work. I like the SBE 2 over the Beretta and X2 for me because the forearm is smaller which is a much better fit for me. My two cents

I'd agree on the Benelli SBE 2, great gun and it doesn't kick bad. I had a Gold Hunter 3.5" before it and it was pretty easy on the shoulder, but had alot of jamming issues with it. Heck try out the new Remington 105 CTI, supposed to have 40% less recoil than comparable autos. I don't think they're offering it in a 3.5" yet though.

I shot the SBE2 several times last year and it kicks about the same as my SBE.
Anyone know of a website that actually compares the Kicking of a shotgun?
Thanks

I shoot a Browning Gold. NEVER had a jamming issue. My buddy shoots one and he has never had it jam. Easy on the should but heavier than mosts semis. But I'm 5'8" 150 lbs and it doesn't wear me down. But if I were too buy a brand new gun I'd go with the X3. Pretty much the same gun as the Browing Gold but cheaper. I saw a video on the new Beretta Extrema 2 and it looks like an awsome gun. Have two hunting partners that shoot Benellis and I haven't been impressed come the cold time. Just my experience.

Extrema 2 has the least amount of kick and gets my vote.

my beretta i can shoot all day and not have a sore shoulder at the end. i love it. it is louder than most guns for some reason but it is nice. it has not kick compared to my 11-87

Get the gun that fits you the best. It's as simple as that. Everyone has there favorite and will tell you all about it, but the simple truth of the matter is to go out and mount every gun to your shoulder and see which one feels the best to you. I am a SBEII guy, but the forearm is to short for my brother in law so he is a beretta guy. You will know when it feels right to you.

Hey HoosierHunter, you know that since you sold that Browning Gold to Darrel it has not jammed once. I think that gun did not like you. :D :D

DHP, I'm sure he probably hasn't put it through the ringer like I usually do! Early season it was fine, started to have the problems when it would get cold out. I'm not the easiest guy on a gun, I want to hunt alot, not clean my gun everytime I'm out! That thing was finicky, had to be in perfect condition or it would get to jamming. That's the thing I love about the SBE 2, I just keep pounding and it keeps shooting! I'm glad it hasn't given him any problems though, I'd feel bad.
BERETTA!!!
seriously though, get a beretta or a benelli, you'll be happy with either one.
As for the Brownings jamming, when i worked at the sporting goods store the only brownings we have had problems with were the 3.5s.
i have a Beretta Extrema 2. i love that gun, its reliable, it fits me great and it shoots great.

If you want to spend a little more money , you can get the forcing cones cut and get it ported which helps on recoill i do it to every gun i get even the auto's you can also get it backbored but the sx2 and sx3 are already backbored from the factory.
