it was the last day of early goose season sept 15th ,had a small flock of honkers come over our heads next to the local golf course busted 2 and lost em both! one landed in a large maple tree and crashed strait down into a hollow crotch of the tree 18 ft up . the other was hit hard grabbed the boa t and chased it down sent my lab after it , he had a good hold on it but the bird broke free and flew onto some peoples yard and landed in another tree and got stuck! needless to say both had ***elry didnt get either one :shock:

that sux. i would of done anything possible to get those geese. i would of been cuttin down trees to get em

i think that i would be in the process of finding some people that needed some fire wood. goose bands are like diamonds man.

needless to say one tree was on the golf course and the other was in some ones front yard !as they say poop happens

You let me know where they are and I will be there to collect!!! I am sure if you let the landowner know the situation, they would surely let you claim your "prize"!!!

at least the golf couse lets us hunt on the water side but they are kind of weird about getting birds off the course to many problems with other hunters not wanting to get there birds , cant even bring a gun on the course luckly i have permission to hunt the waters edge, today i got with the retired maintanance guy and finally got a ladder out there that hole in the center of the tree is deep could see the goose but the coons have pretty much destroyed it , as for the other one those are PETA nuts and dont want anyone huntin that bayou and have been trying to shut it down for a long time with no success, quess theyed rather have a bird rotting on there waterfront property than let an ethical hunter have his kill

Man if that hole is big enough I would tie off on some branch and be repelling :twisted: for that band in a heart beat.That other band sounds like a lost cause :( ,that suck's :evil:
