Think this will work

I am thinking of buying full body snow goose decoys since they are cheaper. Then I would paint most of them black so they would look like Canadas. Just wondering if you think it will work

It might work but I wouldn't really on having that as my main spread, maybe just using it as a filler.

If you painted them well it would work fine, but you could really do that with any decoy. You might as well just buy hardcore canadas from Rogers sporting goods, they are $100.

Or buy the GHG 5/8 snow shells and paint them like canadas, but then again you could just get the higdon canada motion stackables.

Lots of options, if you can paint, and if you know what paint combo to use so it doesn't just come off with first use, or rain, or snow, then go for it.

Just remember you then have to add cost of paint, and flocking, plus time put in.

Ha ha, this is the second thread today my avatar has been mentioned in. Like I told the other guy, You should have seen the old ones I had. Kelly and Barry have had to ask me to take a few of the others just like this one down. People were sending them PM's about how they were offended by the racy avatars I had. Some guys just don't like the ladies I guess. I had to make one that was a little less graphic!

NOPE.......I would'nt try it....Geese are way to smart for that I feel.
However I've seen people paint duck decoys black, and watch droves of Gadwalls and Widgeons fly into them....I guess they think they're coots.[/b]

I mixed in 5 doz Black & White V-boards with 5 doz full bodies last season. You can see in this pic how much more visible the Black & Whites are. They can bee seen for miles. We killed birds every hunt last year and they all worked to the Black & Whites like a magnet. They worked so well I just added 5 doz black & white silos for this season.
