Update on errors or problems with site:

Worked until very early this morining on the site. Our hosting company had a tech there all night working with me as well. Heres the issue at this point.

The server that the website (and many of my other sites) is on came under attack from hackers. The were using whats called a "brute force" attack where they have several computers hitting the server at the same time. This is still happening and has been for 2 days. We dont know when they will let up.

To help secure the site we have made some changes in file structures, permissions and also how many times you can hit the site in a certain amount of time to keep these guys out.

Unfortunatly that means you wont be able to upload anything and I cant make updates because less than 1 update kills my amount of times I can sign on.

This is temporary until the attck is over.

Thanks and I'll be hiding in the shadows around here just trying to keep the site up and running. Updates will come soon.

I have 3 forums and know your pain very well. Can they pinpoit the area where the attacks are comming from. Mine came from russia. Peeved me right off.

Problem is they run through so many proxy's that you can never really tell. It wasnt really the forums they were after, they were trying to take down the whole server. They went after the DOS system...not any particular site.

Looks like we are at about 80% right now. Still cant do updates or upload photos but at least we can use everything else.
