i heard this weekend that cabelas and bass pro are combining. is this true or has anyones else heard this???

at cabelas the lady at the check out counter said it when i accidentaly pulled out my bass pro gift card instead of my cabelas one she said well in a little while i would be able to use my bass pro card there. dont know what is going on!!!

Only thing I can think of is they may start honoring Bass Pro GC....can't see why but who know these days!

well i also heard that there is talk about chevy and ford merging. anyone else hear bout this?

I did hear rumors of the Ford and Chevy thing. I doubt a merge, but maybe an alliance of some kind.

hoosierhunter, i also doubt a merge. if it happened what kind of truck would they make? Chevord, 2500 with a triton V 8 allison transmission?

well actually ford and gm are already merging in some aspects. they both own a company togethor that builds there 6 speed transmissions. but yahh i was shocked when the lady told me that at cabelas. i know that we could get some answers.

Chevord 3500 Durastroke diesel allison transmission wiht some stacks and lifted. that would be my dream come true. then make it single wheel instead of a dually and ill be happy.

Ford is already using the Allison Tranny. Its an option I believe.

one for some reason i just dont like the dual exhaust out the back and i love the look and sound of some 6 in. diameter 36 inch dual stacks out the bed. pretty different if u ask me. just my opinion.

ford doesnt run the allison tranny in there superduties. they have the tourque shift 5 speed. however ford and chevy share the same zf 6speed manual tranny. i dunno bout the two of them combining. they would make twice the money stayin seperate but i have seen spy pics of a the new silverado and sierra hds and theres a striking resemblence in the front ends especially on the gmc.

ford runs allisons in a special package that u can get wiht the f-350,450, and 550 only. my friends uncle just bought one and it is sweet.
