I guess im the devil's advocate. Extrema2.

You need to get the one that fits best. They are both great guns.

had both and after back to back days of shooting 3 1/2 inch shells out of sbe 2 and killing my shoulder then switching to extrema 2 w/ no barely no kick i'd say extrema 2 all around except for 4 arm i like that on sbe 2

The extrema II is a great gun, a huge improvement over the Extrema I.

I have owned a SBE II and Extrema II and i no longer own the SBE II.

Benelli hands down. I have owned a SBE for about 3 1/2 years now and the only gun I'd trade for it would be a SBE2. I hunt ALOT and can count on one hand how many times it has jammed on me in the field. And the only times it has jammed was when it was super dirty and it was really cold out.

SBE II for me. I traded my M1 last spring for a SBE II and loved it. I just traded that SBE II for another SBE II (diffrent barrel) I have never had a problem with any of my Benellis. I think you could bury this thing in the mud at the bottom of the pond pull it out and start shootin!

Mechanically speaking, I think they're neck-and-neck; both are reliable guns. That being said, I think it comes down to which gun feels better.

I have the Extrema 2 and love it, but the SBE II; being sleaker and lighter, actually feels a little better to me. I just didn't feel like spending the extra coin, which is the wrong reason to choose a specific gun.

If you're really obsessing over which gun to buy, then you should go with the one that feels the best. Five to ten years from now, it won't matter weather you paid $1100 or $1400 for the gun of your dreams.

SBE II whithout a question, go drop that Beretta in the water and see how good it works.

My Beretta practically grew gills and webbed feet last year and didn't malfunction once.

Heck, my beretta swims like a rock but still works great once i find the SOB on the bottom.

They are both great guns, get whichever ones fits you best.

well my personal preference is benelli, it fits me better and was lighter then the beretta, they are both great guns though

A buddy of mine just told me his SBE-II won't feed Federal Ultra Shock, High Density, Waterfowl, ammo; my gain, because he gave me three boxes, at, as you all know, $25 per ten rounds. Another buddy, with one, told me his won't feed 2.75" dove/trap loads. That's pretty finicky for a $1400 gun.

My Beretta Extrema might not be as light and pretty, but it will cycle any type of ammo out there; in dirt, mud, rain, snow or ice. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if it cycled a cigar butt.

I think everybody is thinking of the Xtrema. Beretta by far. Both good quality but get what fits you the best..
