Foiles lineup for Duck is: Strait Street (SS), competition quality all acrylic call no metal band, very loud and a ringer. Strait Meat Mallard (SMM), pretty much a open water type call, more volume, has decent low end. Dead Meat Mallard (DMM), an all around suv of a call, pretty decent volume, awesome low end, very ducky especially in a double reed. Timber Rattler (TR), decent volume in a single reed, very raspy and mellow tone (especially in a double), more of a timber or close up call.

Goose: Strait Meat Honker (SMH), most versatile goose call Foiles has, easy to call, no back pressure needed, good call to start on or period, with a competition insert can get louder. Market Hunter (MH), a little more advanced call maybe, alot faster call, needs more back pressure though, a little more quieter call maybe, good call. High Plains Honker (HPH), definately a little more advanced call, can get fast, mellow tones, threaded insert on this one (different than all the others). Showtime, shorter barrel, longer insert, bigger bore call, so very responsive call, can get fast, very loud, needs lots of air to run, contest quality call, definitely not your SMH!

Poly calls: Duck: Lengend, either all poly, or wood barrel/ poly insert, in my opinion, don't waste your time on the all poly, the wood poly is a good hunting style call, definitely cheaper price range than the acrylics. Goose: Meatgrinder (MG), all poly call, short reed, decent beginner call, can do just about all sounds on it, not as clear or loud as acrylic, a more subdued sound, good for hunting or finishing birds maybe.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Meatcutter (MC), goose flute, just that a acrylic goose flute, if that's what you blow.

Hope this helps to differeniate them.

Now, if you want to buy a SS or SMM, I've got one of each for sale on the yard sale section. Let me know! 8)

I'm only a field caller right now.

SMH for geese and I just picked up a DMM in the double reed for ducks.

I pretty much have one of each of the Foiles Calls, but my goto calls in the field are my SMH, and my DMM.

my go to calls are the SMH and the SMM. nothing beats the originals. but i guess when that is all you can afford at this time that. you learn to make do. but both fit what i use them for. mostly field hunts but water occasionally. cant wait till the 28th for the big duck and goose opener. i hate living in SE kansas for his reason. in SW kansas it opens this weekend. Just might have to make a trip home. but might go shoot a turkey instead.

Just a hunter no contest caller. But for duck hunting I use the timber rattler 90 percent of the time and the SMM for hail calling ducks, tried the DMM its definetely the in between call so I sold it because I like the combo of the other two, but if I was only going to buy one I would get the DMM. Goose Calls I would definetely go to a store and test drive all the calls if you are only going to get one. I've owned the SMH, HPH, market hunter and meatcutter. I think I've finally settled on the HPH and Market Hunter as my favorites, but a lot of my buddies use the meatcutter and SMH and love them so get them all a try, haven't got my hands on a showtime so can't comment on that. Buy tommorrow I'll probably decide that I like the SMH better again thats the fun of it.
