Didnt do much duck hunting before, but have a local creek on some private ground, and apperently it gets hammered with Teal and Wood Ducks along with mallards. Should I look for a specific call or just the same old DMM will work that I have now? I need to get some floating decoys before we can go 8) Thanks, just wasnt sure if they made specific wood or teal calls or just using my DMM will work fine because giving them confidence that birds are already feeding etc

teal respond to both hen/drake call but wood ducks do not. Having a wood duck call may help somewhat but wood ducks typically know exactly where they want to go. you will be better off getting a teal call and going where you have seen the wood ducks.

Wood ducks do react to a mallard call. They just don't decoy like other birds.
Wood ducks will normally land away from a spread, or live birds, and then swim back into the group. That doesn't mean that they won't circle the spread or fly right over your decoys at 5 yards high.
I would buy a wood duck decoy before I ever bought a wood duck call.

Yeah Im going to get some decoys first. From what I was told no one has hunted ducks here for a while, but the last time they did, several years ago, you could basically just sit there, no call, no decoys, and limit out in no time. So I will see soon

Ditto!
Grab a 7-1 whistle, that'll help with the teal. They do make wood duck squeelers, but i've never tried one.
