Saturday night is Lesnar vs. Couture for the heavyweight title. I think it will be a good fight but I can't get past Randys age. Lesnar by TKO. Who do you guys like?

i hope Lesnar wins as he trained at my high school for a couple summers so he somewhat of a hometown hero.

Look at the last fight though and how he got submitted with an ankle lock????

Well if Lesner can keep it on the feet its he's match. I know Randy will take it to the ground, Brock doesn't stand a chance.

It's really a toss up for me....I would lean towards lesner if it was anyone except "The Natural".

As far as them hyping it as the biggest fight in UFC history, I'm a little sick of hearing that, Lesner has no huge credit to his name yet, he has only won 2 of 3 Pro fights.

Not too long ago Frank Mir owned him pretty good---

Lesnar will lose if it goes to the ground. Fight goes to randy.

i agree with ya if it goes to the ground but do you really think he can take lesnar down? im sure it'll happen atleast once but for some reason i have a feeling lesnar will get out hes just so damn big

If Couture takes it to the ground, I think Lesnar will overpower him. He is an absolute monster. And I don't think anyone in their right mind would ever wanna stand up and go toe to toe with Lesnar.

Lesnar by TKO in the second round. Then he'll go home and bang Sable to celebrate.

Is he really going to take Lesnar down? I am not sure there is a fighter in the UFC that can take him down at will. My money is on Lesnar taking Couture down...

It's going to be one heck of a match for sure.

Randy has taken on the best in the biz. Upset Silva for the title after how long away from the ring? Randy has a huge heart. The will to survive. Randy has gone the distance several times. It could come to stamina. Randy has good ground an pound too

If Brock lands the same shots, it could be lights out. He knocked Heath to is arse with his first punch. His wrestling skills are unreal. If he doesn't make an absolute mistake, he stands a great chance.

The UFC hasn't seen anyone like Brock. Huge, Fast, Strong and young.

I'm going to keep my options open. This is going to be a great one!!!

guys why doubt randy, havent you learned not to count him out, lesnar has no experience in the octagon especially with the best fighter there ever will be.Lesnar weighs like what 265 solid muscle I predict he will wear down and coutore will win by decision!!!

Randy truely amazes me with what he has been able to do at his age. Very intelligent fighter, but the sheer size and athletecism of Lesnor has got to scare anyone. As long as Lesnor can keep from getting submitted, I think we have a new heavyweght champ. Can't wait to see the fight.

Randy Couture was and is one of the best fighters out there but it seems to me it is just the coming of a new age with Lesnar. Still hope "The Natural" wins though.

Tim Sylvia is what about 6'10"? Didn't seem to phase Randy too much at all

You can't really compare the two, Sylvia is tall but not freakishly strong, Lesnar is stupid strong, that's alot of muscle for Coture to handle.

Does any one know what Lesnar's chin is like? I've never seen him take a punch yet, mabe he's got a glass jaw.

I'll go out on a limb and say Randy will win, I think Couture will try to keep it on their feet. If it turns into a striking match, Randy should win.If it goes to the judges Randy will get the W.

Striking match? I think might go to Lesnar he is raw muscle.

The thing with Brock is, once he gets hit, then he's pissed. He'll somewhat fight out of anger in a sense.

Either way, it's going to be a good fight.

I don't think Brock's strength is going to win him the fight. All those muscle's take alot of oxygen. Think Randy will by decision. Too smart, skilled, and he never runs out of gas. But, it's MMA so anything can happen.

What a MAN BEAST. Hammer fists from hell. Brock pulled off the victory.

Big shot that was destined for Randy's chin before he ducked a bit and it ended up landing on the back/right of his neck knocked him to the ground. Brock pounced and dropped hammer fists from hell.

Who is going to beat Brock? It's scary to think how good he could be in a year or so. He dominated Randy, it seemed if Brock wanted a position he took it with little resistance.

Power he has, speed he doesn't. Someone with some speed and decent striking will pummel Lesner soon, as long as they can stay moving. In the UFC there are some talented muay tai experts that are extremly fast. He won't be on top long at all. Let the flaming begin, but remember when it happens I said it, ha ha.

ThePreacher
11-17-2008, 08:41 AM
He doesn't have speed??? You are joking right???

Lesnar is the real deal here folks. I hope he gets to retaliate his loss to Mir because he will donkey kong his ass.

The hammer fists before the stoppage didn't look bad to me either but I saw Randy in his locker room after the fight and his face was blue and purple big time. Brock is human so he can be beaten but it is going to be extremely tough. Mir vs. Nogera is late December with the winner facing Brock so he may have a chance to redeem himself. BJ Penn vs. St. Pierre was announced for January 09 which will be a war also.

Ned

For that matter the one that put randy on his ass looked pretty weak. Imagine if brock really connected on one? ****!!

Actually I do think Brock is a little on the slow side. I have fought in MMA for 6 years and have been beaten by guys that I had a quite a size advantage on because they were faster. (Not saying I think I can beat him or any crap like that, please don't throw that up). Speed kills in MMA or just about anything for that matter. I'm sticking to my guns. It will be short lived. He won't be on top very long at all.
