After many failed trips this season we finally drew a good pill and had a pretty good day out in the fields. We hunted blind 16 out at Duck Creek here in MO. It was my best friend, his brother, and myself that made it out that morning. The day was pretty good too. 38 degrees, overcast the whole day with a little rain here and there, and winds blowing 15-25 mph all day. We were able to set up in a thick of willows and go to town. Although we all didn't limit out we got to do a lot of shooting and just have a good time. My first really successful hunt after a season and a half of trying. :D All together we took 14 birds. 3 Mallards, 3 Shovelers, 2 Ringnecks, 4 Gadwalls, and 2 Wood Ducks. I myself had 2 Shovelers, 1 Ringneck, and 1 Gadwall. Here are some pics.

We were in the general area. There is a willow patch right across from the refuge about dead even with the first pump.

Thanks guys. Got 9 straight days of hunting coming up, one is a reservation day on Thanksgiving, so hopefully I can get a pick up where everyone in the party limits out.
