I have 3 timber rattlers and notice the bourbon one's insert does not go in as far as the clear/red and max4 one. It also sounds the worst.
Did they have a produciton flaw in the sizes of the bourbon clear calls?
Thanks

Call Lisa at the shop. She will take care of you.

Hammer I am guessing that the reason why it sounds the worst is because air is escaping out of where the insert goes into the mouthpiece. Not all of the air blown into the call is being used, as some air escapes. I have seen the problem before. Is there anyway you can jam the insert up in further? Im not sure if that would be a good idea or not though.

Hammer, tape and listen first, it might not be far off on sound, and you have 3 tr's and having one with some muff to it will sound good to the ducks on days you can here a pin drop. If you pulled out the reed or reeds, last season you might have placed one back wrong. Look to see if you have board traks on the up side and flip it over. You can place all 3 inserts on a table and look at the reed length's and figure something out sometimes.

have u tried takin the insert out of one of the others and stickin it in the the mouth peice on the bourbon one? it may turn out to not be the insert it could be a mouth peice or it might be the insert. try swappin it around with one of your other calls
