I get a ton early season where we hunt. Ive not goten anything but goose bands yet. I have 3 full lanyards now and have sold quite a few for pathetic prices. Most of my bands are meaningless to me. They all come from the same place and never have any character or story behind them. If I had some that had meaning they would be priceless!

Your clearly clueless so I wont jump down your throat just yet. Your comprehension skills are bunk, as the same goes for your typing. As stated in a previous post of mine in this thread, I come across alot of bands that have ZERO value to me. I'll sell em for a buck if I want. You asked about bands hoss. I answered. ****, the fact you ask a question like that makes me wonder if your already wearin my bands around your neck.

Abomb.....I agree...evrything has a price, and if they have no value to you or anyone in your family then go ahead a sell em. After all, they're your bands.
Mallardman?..What 2 ****s do you care if Adam sells his bands or not?
And I agree with him, you are probably wearing his around your neck, talking **** to all of your buddies on how good and lucky you are.

I have a buddy that is a band *****! Last year I watched him tackle another friend and rip the banded goose out of his hands. He thinks that if it gets killed on his farm he gets the band even if he didn't shoot. I got some thin aluminum @ work and bent it just like a band, then soaked it in coffee grounds and water for a month. It looked just like an old band. I had it with me when I hunted with him last year and put it on a goose i picked up last year. I walked up to him and said here you go buddy its your farm. He thinks the band was so old that the numbers wore off. To this day it is on his lanyard and he tells people that he killed this old goose and the band didn't have any numbers left on it!! Abomb, If you have anymore for sale I could really have some fun with him this year. Let me know.

I have about a dozen from this year that were banded this spring. Their like spotless brand new looking. I was trying to think of things like what you did to your buddy. Do to mine but in a nice way. I have a few buddys that have been hunting for many many years and have never seen a band on a bird let alone shoot one. I thought Id wrap a few around some birds in the late season and hand em off but I lost my spot.

Yea ABOMB,,,,
Post up some pics.. We wanna see these three lanyards full of bands that you dont seem to care about.
Just wanted to say this about bands. I hunted a few weeks ago with a friend of mine in the morning. We set up around 150 yards to short. That evening I set up right where they were landing in the morning. I was hunting with my dog alone. The birds started to pile in. I had to wait for about 15 minutes for the the right flock to be in my sights. I shot twice hit one bird and droped one. My hunting partner for 4 years went over and brought the bird to my feet. There was a band on the goose. I have been huting geese for only 4 years. That band is worth more than money could buy. Happy hunting guys.

im just going to come clean and admit i myself am an Ebay Band buyer. I will never do it again though. I missed the points of bands and thought exactlly what you guys said that if you have them you mr. waterfowl. F that, i got rid of them. Now if i get one awesome, if not im not going to pose. Although it did make my lanyard look great, its not worth it because you only cheating yourself. Anywayz for now on im earning my keep. Dont make the same mistake i did. DO WORK, and good good luck on your ***elery hunt!

Bands meen different things to different people. I have one band on my lanyard and I fully admit that I did not shoot the bird that it came off. I was 12 years old(i'm 38 now) and I was hunting with my dad when he shot a banded bird. At 12 years old I thought that was the coolest thing ever. After explaining what bands were used for he gave me the band. My dad is 76 years old now and doesn't hunt anymore because of personal reasons but every time I hunt I take that band and it's like my dad is with me. If I am lucky enough to get another band it will stay at home cause that band is the only band that will ever be on my lanyard.

DPORTDUKHUNTER, Thats very repectable to honor your father in that way. I also have one from my father which is all alone on the lanyard, that he shot the first day he ever took me duck hunting. I will have it for as long as I live and leave it for my sons after I can no longer hunt.
I dont feel that bands are bragging rights or anything. I just figure that you can show your a little luckier than the other guys. Hell I know guys that are crack shots, most of the time they shoot 1 time and the birds are done, but they dont have any bands. But I will say that they can outshoot me anyday!!!!!!!!!

Thats cool, nobody said he was lieing, we will decide that when he shows pictures... Its very easy to tell a real band from a fake....
If someone has three lanyards full, that would have to atleast be 60 or 80 bands if your using a neopreme lanyard Leg iron.... Now if your using a regular lanyards, its well over 100 bands...
So either ABOMB is on Fred Zink, Jeff Foiles, Dave Smith, Brad Cochran,Bill saunders Levels.. He is very very suspect IMO....
Alot of talkers these days then when they are asked to prove it they dissapear
Were just asking for proof :)

I'll try to locate a camera so I can shut your ass up. Your requested pics require me to take a drive to the cabin to get two of the lanyards off the wall in my room there. It wont be soon. But you will have your pics.
Cody thanks for the back up, unfortunately some people are just hatters. As I said before. the place I hunt early season the local birds are banded in a waterfowl management area 400 yds from our field. They get off the roost and hit our field as they turn.
Nothing I can do about it.

First off...Even though I never met Adam, IMHO, he's a straight up guy on this site, helps people out with some of his Ideas, and has some great posts. I see that he only talks **** when **** is talked on him...
So why is it that if he has 3 lanyards full of bands, he must be Zink, Folies, Mann, Grounds or whoever? He has a great spot, that you and I dont have, and wish we did have. That being said.....I believe the guy.
Plus how can you bust a guy's nuts with the avatars he puts up?
Just my opinion!!!!!!!

I know a guy in OH that is having a crappy year if he doesn't shoot 50 bands and at least 5 neckers himslef, same for his partners. Same deal, just off a fuge where they do a ton of banding projects...they'll have hunts where every bird they drop is bringin' bling.
I'm jealous as hell, but I'd never buy one...

I've never seen a neck band where we are, but like you said... Until the locals leave almost everything has a leg band on it. There is a ton of ducks that fly in out of the refuge I'm sure are banded, but I haven't gotten one yet. They don't seem to fly the same way as the Canada's

I only have two bands. Both shot on the SAME day. One $100 band, and one Tarsus band. From what I've been told, I should feel lucky.
By the way A-Bomb, you need to put your avatar up on that Benelli forum . . . that is you . . . right? Those guys would go nuts.

A guy wants to see some pics and somehow hes talking ****
As far as being jealous,,,, Far from it buddie. Im just sick of guys saying they have 18 lanyards full of bands, and when you ask them for pictures they all the sudden left them at grandmas house when they were picking up some freshly baked cookies
Im sure abomb is a great great guy and all, but it gets tiresome hearing all these claims of endless bands people have killed..
I totally realize its possible to live near a band site and slotter a pile o bands, I know people that do it, but for some reason I don't believe you and i'd like to be proved wrong! So to save you the trip to the cabin and lookin for your camera just post up your ebay name so I can check out the bands you've sold. That will be good enough for me. Doesn't get any easier than that!

I'm 18 and have been hunting for 6 years i kill around 150 to 200 ducks a year. I have never killed a band, but have made a ton of memories with my dad and 12 year old brother. Those memories are more priceless then a band.

Bands are all luck it doesn't take any more skill in killing a band then it does killing one thats not. Anyone who thinks you have to earn a band is dumb, i have killed one banded bird before and its all luck, its awesome to get one but doesn't put you in some special class of hunters.

Its luck and location. I think I said in a earlier post that I have never shot a banded bird that was migrating . I've traveled all over the state hunting for years. Never shot a band anywhere other then my early season spot. Every band I've shot was banded less then a mile from my fields. I used to think it was awesome but I'm over it now. They're all the same!
Thats why I sell mine.
